
SanAquam offers a universal meditation programme at the Retreat. We teach it not as a religion but a neurolobiological process that leads to emotional, mental and physical balance.
Meditation helps you calm and clear your mind, helping you get rid of negative thoughts and emotions, that can eventually, if not released, have an adverse effect on your mental, physical and spiritual well being.
Through meditation, the directive intelligence of your body is able to flow through the many channels of your mind/body, orchestrating the millions of processes that give you the experience of peace and mental quietness. Regular meditation will give you the ability to better withstand or overcome stress and will help bring all aspects of your life into harmony.
Meditation is especially useful for Pitta and Vata body types. In Pitta body types, one of the challenges is to control the mind, meditation will assist you in quieting the mind. In Vata body type, the challenge is to control the number of thoughts entering the mind and being distracted. Meditation will help you discern what your priorities are as compared to thoughts you should ignore or not respond to.
Daily group meditation is offered at SanAquam Spa Retreat. A three day meditation course is run at the Retreat where we we would teach you meditation techniques in 2 hour segments on consecutive days.

Taught in an enjoyable and inspirational way, Yoga at SanAquam will allow you to learn yoga with likeminded people in a tranquil and peaceful place. We practice Hatha yoga and adapt it to suit your needs and level. Even if you have never done yoga before, joining a yoga class every morning will set you on a path of a life balanced.
